MS Walk 2010

The 2010 MS Walk has come and gone, but the memories of love and support will last forever. Thousands of people came out for the Walk MS: Twin Cities Walk 2010 which was held at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, MN. This years event was the second year for CraniuMS, and together with your help we were able to raise a total of $11,444.83!!! Combined with last year, CraniuMS has raised a total of $13,064.83 to date! Whether you are a member of the team or one of our sponsors, be proud to know that your contribution helps make a difference in the lives of those living with MS. Want to know how touching your support is? Take a look at the image we captured as we approached the finish line. WE DID IT!

Write. Read. Delete. Write. Read. Delete. Write. Read. Delete

Somehow, i can't seem to find the appropriate words for the one blog i have looked forward to writing since we started.

Write. Read. Delete.

Not only did we make our goal of $10,000, but with just two days left, we continue to exceed our goal. I read a simple saying once that said if you care at all, you'll get some results. If you care enough, you'll get incredible results." Isn't $10,874.83 incredible!

Write. Read. Delete.

I guess a good place to start is with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been following our journey and have supported CraniuMS since day one and helped us make this possible as we walk for something we truly believe in. "Dream Big" we said, and Dream Big we did.

Write. Read. Delete.

Truth be told, there are no appropriate words to express the magnitude of reaching our goal, and what that means beyond the monetary value. Mark these words though. This will be the day when we look back to when it all began, when you look back to yourself and feel the change that happened in you. The exact same change that we challenged you to become.

Write. Read. Delete.

So i apologize if this posting is a bit anticlimatic. Anticlimatic wouldn't be the word. Speechless maybe. Or maybe it's just something that's already so special all on it's own that it doesn't need help or recognition from me, it only needs to be admired.

GREAT JOB CRANIUMS. You have touched my life personally, and you will continue to touch the lives of many who live the fight against MS everyday. CraniuMS is truly blessed to have such open hearts fill the friendships of our lives.

Certitude

We’ve read time and time again on our team blog that participating in this MS Walk gives us back control in something that seems out of control on a day to day basis. Uncertainty is one of the biggest challenges when faced with MS. Often it is not the physical ailments, but the emotional struggles associated with coming to terms with a diagnosis.

Yet another reminder of a life lived with MS. Uncertainty. Being the optimist that I try to be, I decided to evaluate the “certainty” side of things and some of its well known synonym friends. Certainty is a state of mind in which one is free from doubt. Assurance is something that inspires or tends to inspire confidence. Confidence is great faith in oneself or one’s abilities. Faith is something that is believed with strong conviction. Conviction is a strong persuasion or belief.

I am certain that through your support we can do our best to play the best hand with the cards that were dealt. Certitude is a measure of a person's positive feeling about something; certainty is a measure of the degree to which a process or development may be realized. I can assure you that your support will inspire others to be the change they want to see in the world. And last but certainly not least, I am confident in CraniuMS and our conviction in the message we strive to deliver everyday.

Uncertainty can suck it...

80% CLOSER!

CraniuMS is officially above average!

CraniuMS has spent the last 60 days rallying for support to help aid in the obstacles that those living with MS face everyday. Today we became 80% closer to our goal and passed the $8,000 milestone! With a new total of $8,037, CraniuMS has regained our momentum to proceed full steam ahead for the last 25 days of our fundraising mission! Proving to be the team to aspire to be like, CraniuMS is still holding onto the #1 spot in the top ten fundraising list for the Twin Cities!

Way to go everyone! Be proud that with the right amount of effort and determination, big changes can be made by you alone. It is nothing short of amazing that a small group of people have come together and made such a profound impact not only in how much money we have been able to raise for the National MS Society, but in the lives of anyone who is affected by MS.

A successful team beats with one heart!

Hoppy Easter!

Did somebunny say Easter?

Happy Easter to all of CraniuMS and all of our supporters! I hope everyone was able to spend the day with family and survive it without going into a chocolate or hard boiled egg coma.

Holidays like Easter are a special reminder to count your blessings, and CraniuMS has $7887 blessings, which will hopefully one day lead to the blessing of a cure.

Enjoy your Easter!
